ROSE GOLD POCKET WATCH
ROSE GOLD POCKET WATCH. Large, antique pocket watch stamped 14K with a squirrel hallmark, ø: 53 mm, weight: 97,8 grams (watch only) with a double case. Comes with a matching rose gold chain, stamped 585, with weight: 23.9 grams, l: 25.5 cm. The watch has a clean, white dial with decorative hands. It was purchased in California during World War I by Ship's Captain Lars Johannes Danielsen of Stolt-Nilsen Shipping, whose monogram is engraved into the caseback; 'LJD'. The engine-turned inner cover over the movement is stamped 285014 with the casemaker's mark of HF in a circle. This is likely Huguenin Frères of Le Locle, Switzerland. The movement is clean and the watch responds well to winding, some wear and tear from normal use. Comes in a vintage jewellery box, although this is not original, with an old appraisal from Urmaker Nygaard in Haugesund.
